Encompassing one entire block of downtown Seattle, the Courthouse project utilizes extensive planting, signage, and bollard elements to meet federal standards for security planning. The main plaza utilizes a custom designed structural planting soil mix meaning pavements are stable and structurally supported while tree roots have plenty of unrestricted soil space for growth. Trees were reviewed and tagged in California, Oregon, and Washington. Experience of Peter Walker and Partners.
